GENERAL CARGO

The Port of Aveiro combines a long tradition of general cargo with the state of the art infrastructure. Registration of a movement of about 2 million tons of steel products (coils), forest products (pulp, biomass), cement and derivatives. Have storage space available for indoor and outdoor low.

CARGO PROJECT

The large storage capacity associated with the total congestion in the port, allowing the Port of Aveiro is a reference, since 2007, to receive the design load. The northern multipurpose terminal provides the space needed, not only for the handling and storage, but also for all activities and added value that take longer functioning. Aveiro serves one of the main centers of the domestic chemical industry - Estarreja Cluster where chemical industries are international (CUF, DOW, CIRES, Bresfor, AIR LIQUIDE) - as well as leading companies in the field of fuel (energy BP and PRIO) . The Port of Aveiro and industry players seeking together the highest level of integration and diversity in all their value chains. The port ensures the supply of these raw materials by sea, road, pipeline and looking at present (collectively) best solution station.
