Social Responsiblity

Port of Aveiro is located in a natural area of high sensibility environment, so the Port Authority - APA has special attention and respect for environmental values:

- Environment Management Systems (since 2001) within APA develops actions to alert port community and employees in order to adopt good practices of environment management
- The Environmental Certification is predicted in the of 2007

The Port of Aveiro also cares about the maritime safety and port conditions:
- General regulation for maritime and land safety
- Internal Emergency Plan - an integrated system for prevention of high risk situations (fire, pollution and vandalism/terrorism).
